XyloSweet Sweetener

XyloSweet, a xylitol-based sweetener, is the sweetest of all bulk sugar substitutes. Xylitol is a sugar alcohol that comes from the birch tree. It is currently used in many sugar-free products and is increasingly gaining acceptance as an alternative sweetener; using it actually helps reduce the development of dental cavities by protecting the enamel on the teeth. It is very low on the glycemic index and is slowly absorbed and partially used by the body. It can be used cup for cup in place of sugar in any recipe. We like xylitol over the other sugar alcohols like erythritol because because it comes from the birch tree and not from corn.
