Pacific Bakery Spelt Multi-Grain Bread

This is a yeast-free bread that we love since many of our clients tend to decrease yeast in their diet. Pacific Bakery's slogan is ancient grains for modern times. Ingredients include organically grown whole grain spelt (wheat), organically grown whole grains (millet, barley, oats, brown rice), organically grown sesame seeds, filtered water, sea salt, poppyseeds. Spelt has high water solubility, so the nutrients are easily absorbed by the body. Spelt contains special carbohydrates which are an important factor in blood clotting and stimulating the body's immune system. It is also a superb fiber resource and has large amounts of B-complex vitamins. Total protein content is from 10 to 25% greater than the common varieties of commercial wheat. While this bread is not gluten-free many clients with food sensitivited to gluten do just fine with spelt because it is an ancient grain and of course not genetically modified.
