Kettle Brand Organic Potato Chips
Dietary Needs:
Soy Free, Vegan, Dairy Free, Gluten Free
While we are not advocating eat potato
chips as part of healthy diet, we do love how Kettle Brand focuses on
natural ingredients. They contain no trans fats, no MSG, no
artificial ingredients. They use whole slices of locally grown,
select non-GMO potatoes, which we love. We only recommend the
plain/lightly salted versions because they do not contain evaporated
cane juice, yeast extract and maltodextrin. It's nice to read a
package and only see 3 ingredients! The only reason they get a 4 is
because eating potato chips (fried foods) should not be a regular
snack if you're shooting for a healthy diet.

Gold Mine Natural Foods Co Ohsawa Kombu
Dietary Needs:
Soy Free, Vegan, Dairy Free, Low Glycemic, Gluten Free
Kombu is a sea vegetable that is easy
to use and integrate into your cooking routine. High in iodine and
minerals this 'sea jurkey' has a unique quality in cooking,
harmonizing and enhancing flavors of the foods it’s prepared with.
It also has the ability to help break down foods to make them easier
to digest. We suggest using kombu like a bay leaf and adding a 3''
piece while cooking rice, beans or other grains. Pull the kombu piece
out while the grains are finished cooking and discard.Kombu is vegan,
raw, kosher and gluten free. This company also specializes in
organic and "heirloom" grains. Heirloom-quality grains are
varieties that have been grown for many generations, without
hybridization of the strain or genetic alterations. Nice and natural,
how it should be!

Luna Bar
Dietary Needs:
Vegan, Dairy Free
LUNA bars are made with 70% USDA
certified organic ingredients. They shoot for ingredients that retain
more nutrients like essential vitamins and minerals, green tea
extract, organic brown rice syrup, and nuts and seeds. While they are
conscious about which nutrients are ideal for women such as folic
acid and Vitamins A,B, C and D the protein source is soy. We would
much rather see this company embrace a different plant based protein
such as pea or hemp. Soy can have a negative impact on the body if it
isn't fermented. We do like this company as they are active in
supporting sustainable agriculture, they support the Breast Cancer
Fund and Healthy Child Healthy World. A less processed bar would be a
better choice.
